As a historian by education, I believe Ukraine is living through one of those defining chapters today. This is not only a lesson for the rest of the world. It is also a lesson for Ukrainians about ourselves.

I am not interested in packaging a country at war as a destination. I am interested in helping visitors understand Ukraine as it really is. A country that continues to work, to create, to rebuild, to laugh, to mourn. And, despite everything, to live.
